Upon the Sighting of the Crescent for the month of Ramadan either tonight( Friday) or tomorrow ( Saturday); Muslims are enjoined to commence the fast of Ramadan, 1446 ( equivalent to: 2025).
As Muslims in Nigeria, other African countries and Muslim communities all over the world sharing a common time zone begin the observance of fasting, The President, Society For Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), Mr Nathaniel Msen Awuapila, fspsp, on behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC), the Central Working Committee, (CWC), the Board of Trustees ( BOT) , the Body of Fellows, (BoF) and Esteemed Members of the SPSP Felicitates with SPSP Muslim faithful as they commence the spiritual obligation of fasting aimed at strengthening their faith and belief. Mr Awuapila prays that the month-long fast will further strengthen the bond of togetherness and mutual respect among all people irrespective of religion and creed. The President, assures ALL that, SPSP is poised to provide the platform for ongoing dialogue among peacebuilding stakeholders and initiatives that promote multi-sectoral engagements to advance sustainable peaceful coexistence among Africans and globally.
