The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP), ably led by the President, Mr. Nathaniel Msen Awuapila fspsp, and the entire Society, extends its warmest congratulations and celebrates Prof. Olusegun Stephen Titus mspsp on his elevation to the Professorial Chair at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Professor Titus is a member of the Society and the current chairman of the Osun State Branch of the Society. He is West Africa’s Leading Professor of Ecomusicology and Medical Musicology and Fellow, Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx), University of Oxford. He is also a Fellow at Carson Center, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Germany, Fellow, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation / GF, Fellow, American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), Fellow, Andrew Mellon Foundation (PROSPA), Rhodes University, Fellow, A.G. Leventis Foundation, SOAS, University of London and Fellow, African Feminist Initiative / Ford Foundation. He is currently the Head, Department of Music, Obafemi Awolowo University.
