The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) is pleased to announce the publication of its End-of-Tenure Yuletide Newsletter 2025, which reflects on the achievements, milestones, and collective efforts of the Society during the outgoing administration.
Issued by the President and Working Committee of SPSP, the Newsletter provides a reflective overview of the Society’s journey since 2022, highlighting key accomplishments in peace research, practice, advocacy, and international collaboration. It also acknowledges the invaluable contributions of Fellows and members whose dedication has strengthened SPSP’s national and global standing.
The publication underscores SPSP’s expanding engagements with international peace networks, recognition of distinguished Fellows, and sustained commitment to dialogue, scholarship, and community-based peacebuilding. It further outlines strategic priorities aimed at ensuring continuity, institutional growth, and innovation as leadership transitions to a new administration.
In his Yuletide message, the President, Mr. Nathaniel Msen Awuapila, fspsp, expresses deep gratitude to members and Fellows for their sacrifices and resilience, while reaffirming the Society’s mission to advance sustainable peace in Nigeria and beyond. The Newsletter concludes with a seasonal message of hope, unity, and renewed commitment to peace practice as SPSP looks ahead to 2026 and the future.
