SPSP leadership holds meeting on strategic Partnership for the establishment of SPSP Cameroon Branch

A high-level meeting between the leadership of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and the Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Maroua, Cameron held yesterday, Sunday the 18th of February, 2024. 

The meeting  centred on modalities for the establishment of an SPSP branch in Cameroon. The meeting ended on a fruitful note as a resolution was reached, to establish SPSP in Cameroon immediately. The choice of Cameroon as the second international Branch of the Society after Sierra Leone was informed by its history of peace efforts and its strategic importance as a gateway, both to the Lake Chad Basin and to Central Africa generally.

Present at the strategic meeting, which was held virtually via Zoom, were: the SPSP President, Mr Nathaniel Msen Awuapila fspsp, the Vice-president North, Prof Jude Momodu fspsp; the Ag. Secretary General, Dr Olanrewaju Yusuf mspsp, and the Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Maroua, Cameron, Professor Issa Saibbou.
