On behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC), the President Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) congratulates Prof Hakeem Tijani, fspsp, on his nomination by Governor Wes Moore as a Commissioner for the State of Maryland Commission on African History and Culture. The President SPSP, Nathaniel Msen Awuapila fspsp, described Prof Tijani as a distinguished Fellow of the Society. Prof Tijani will serve along with other Commissioners until 2027. Earlier in 2021, Professor Tijani who is a renowned historian of Nigerian origin was appointed as the Global Executive Director, Office of Global Partnerships-Africa, at the Morgan State University ( MSU) in Baltimore, United States of America.
