The President, Society For Peace Studies and Practice, SPSP, Mr Nathaniel Msen Awuapila, fspsp, on behalf of the National Working Committee,(NWC), the Central Working Committee,(CWC), the Board of Trustees, (BOT), the Body of Fellows, (BoF), and Esteemed Members of the SPSP, congratulate the FOUR-MEMBER, SPSP 'GRANT-WRITING HUB' as they collect their letters of appointment from the SPSP Secretary-General, Lanre Yusuf, PhD. At the Head of the Hub is, Mr Mathias YAKE, who has served as Ag. Coordinator, SPSP, Bauchi Branch. Mr YAKE's new designation as Head of SPSP Programme Management Office (PMO) and Coordinator, Grant-Writing Hub places him in the unique position to steer SPSP's programme design and delivery as well as the Society's monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability system. He has several years of experience, working with national and international NGOs, where he successfully mobilised tens of millions of Naira in grants for organisations that he worked with. Alongside, Mr Yake are 3 ladies who had distinguished themselves as committed SPSP members with outstanding capacities to serve on the Hub. They are: Dr Temitope Bello; Dr Alade Adebola and Mrs Priscilla Iyabo Awojuola. The President, SPSP described these appointments as a pointer to the SPSP's resolve to, in his words: "put together a team of committed members, who will facilitate contribution to resource mobilisation/fund raising for the SPSP." Mr Awuapila, fspsp, added that, the SPSP branches will benefit the most, as the Grant-Writing Hub eases their work of raising resources for valued projects. Mr Yake and Dr Temitope Bello are to also serve as members of the International Peace Bureau (IPB)'s Grant-Writing Hub. Mr Awuapila, fspsp, announced that, all the members of the Hub will together with the candidates to be appointed by SPSP Branches constitute the SPSP's Grant-Writing Hub or In-House Resource Mobilisation Pool.
