Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) Congratulates Newly Elevated Deputy Inspectors General of Police


The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) heartily congratulates DIG Adebola Hamzat fspsp and DIG Adebowale Williams on their well-deserved elevation to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police.


Mr. Nathaniel Msen Awuapila fspsp, President of the Society, together with the Board of Trustees (BOT), National Working Committee (NWC), Central Working Committee (CWC), and the entire SPSP family, recognise and praise the duo's exemplary policing skills and tireless efforts to promote peace and stability in Nigeria. 


DIG Hamzat, having been an active member since he was a Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, became a Distinguished Fellow of the Society on July 5, 2024, during the 19th International Conference of the society, which was hosted at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. DIG Williams on his part became a Distinguished member of the Society on November 5, 2024, alongside about 70 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) who participated in the Maiden Executive Capacity Building Programme organized at the Police Staff College, Jos, where DIG Williams was Commandant at the time.


As distinguished members of SPSP, DIG Hamzat and DIG Williams have demonstrated a deep commitment to upholding the values of peace, justice, and human rights. Their leadership, dedication, and service to the nation with integrity, professionalism, and compassion are an inspiration to all.


We celebrate their achievements and wish them continued success in their esteemed careers. May their elevation bring about new opportunities to further entrench peace, security, and stability in our beloved country.
