The President, Society For Peace Studies and Practice ( SPSP), Mr Nathaniel Msen Awuapila, FSPSP, on behalf of the National Working Committee( NWC),the Central Working Committee (cwc),the Board of Trustees (BOT), the Body of Fellows(BOF) and Members of the Society For Peace Studies and Practice(SPSP) announces the resignation of the Secretary General, SPSP, Dr. Funmilayo Agbaje, who 'stepped aside' as Secretary General of the SPSP.
She is currently undergoing a Fellowship program.
The President, SPSP, further announced that the SPSP, NWC, met on November 1st, 2023 and among other issues, deliberated and reviewed Dr. Agbaje's decision to resign and consequently recommended that Dr. Olarenwaju Yusuf, Assistant Secretary General, SPSP should assume the role of Acting Secretary General of the SPSP.

Mr. Awuapila, explained that, the decision of the SPSP, NWC aims to facilitate the continued smooth operation of SPSP and with the goal of the Secretary General maintaining the SPSP's core functions while also making sure that Dr. Funmilayo Agbaje receives the necessary support to in the words of the President, SPSP: "undertake her academic journey".
