The Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) has released its Branding Policy (2025), a key institutional document designed to protect, strengthen, and standardise the Society’s corporate identity across all platforms and engagements.
Introduced from the Office of the President, the Policy responds to past challenges relating to the unauthorised and inconsistent use of the SPSP logo, letterheads, and publicity materials. It establishes clear and binding guidelines to ensure that all communications reflect SPSP’s values, professionalism, and mission as one of Africa’s leading platforms for peace studies and practice
BRANDING POLICY - SPSP (2025)
The Branding Policy provides comprehensive guidance on:
Proper use of the SPSP logo, colours, typography, and imagery
Approved messaging tone, voice, and key institutional messages
Standards for publications, digital platforms, events, and partnerships
Co-branding requirements with partners and donors
Compliance, approval processes, and governance mechanisms to safeguard brand integrity
The document reinforces that the SPSP brand is a collective asset and that adherence to the Policy is mandatory for all members, branches, partners, and affiliates. Consistent application of these standards will enhance SPSP’s visibility, credibility, and impact in peacebuilding, research, advocacy, and practice across Africa and beyond
